I am an electrical engineer with strong focus on automotive systems engineering, software development and validation. My career so far includes electrical industrial engineering, industrial software development, Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation, Rapid Prototyping, contribution to automotive system architectures , system and network administration and others. Before I was a student of "automation and information technology" at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt.
I work with Linux since 1996, to which I moved from OS/2 after one month transition time. First I started with SuSE, moved to Debian many years ago and later made the transition to Ubuntu on my server due to the better support of Java and other non DFSG software, Kubuntu on my workstation and Lubuntu on my notebook and iMAC G5. All of them run the current development version (saucy as of writing).
I have contributed small patches to serveral open source projects, mostly to fix packaging bugs or to add simple useful features. I work as far as possible with open source software, as it allows my to increase my productivity by contributing to it. Increasing productivity is my main interest in all kinds of "business".
